Part of the Voyetra Computer Music Starter Kit was Midi Orchestrator Plus. I've been using Ver 3.02.05 for years. It connects to my piano keyboard, but I don't use it that way. I play mainly "by ear", and have used Orchestrator to input music from sheet music, using the computer mouse. It will take notes exactly, so that pitch and timing is perfect. I can then have the computer play the tune at whatever speed I can handle, until I learn all the notes on violin, mandolin, guitar, whatever. I can then speed the tempo up, and practice at increasing speeds until I'm up to full tempo. It will also transpose the music, and print it out on paper, so I can convert tunes e.g. written in Ab to G, which is easier for stringed instruments to play. This has been a great program, and I wish Turtle Beach hadn't dropped it for more complex programs, which I don't want. Another great program, which will slow down/transpose CD music is Amazing Slowdowner by Roni.
